We all face difficult situations and conversations with the teams we lead. In our Kane Learning Coaching and Feedback workshop, we look at situations when someone has an emotional reaction to our feedback–maybe they yell, cry, or get defensive. A recent Fast Company article addresses three ways to remain calm in a challenging situation. One of the key ways to stay calm is centered on the foundation of TRUST: to ask questions to shift your mindset back to curiosity and re-engage with empathy.
